As much as I would like for this blog post to be about a girl I met who pulled some moves on me, it is merely about how a guy at my work, who does not describe himself as transgender, but rather "intersex" left me a note while I was working last night, that went a little something like this...
(his cell and home number)
Savante
Hey handsome, give me a call sometime,
I would love to get to know you better.
so basically I was a little shocked to say the least, but then I realized after asking a few other co-workers who were also working at the time, that I talk a lot, and I am friendly, which I guess could come across as "hey I want you".
the better part of this story is that when I talked to him today, he said he didn't know I was mormon, and then proceeded to tell me about how he was in the Issaquah 6th ward, or something like that, and that the bishop had to ask the general authorities if it was ok to have Savante in the ward, and they said that it was, depending on what gender he identified with. but then he says something to me about "well then I had to decide which half goes to priesthood and which half goes to relief society".
needless to say, this has been one interesting week for me :)

girl scout cookies help fund what exactly?
Well I heard that there was a big controversy surrounding girl scouts, and what they use the proceeds from their cookie sales for. I heard that the money doesn't even go to help fund girls going to camps, or help the homeless, or anything like that, but rather they help the girls afford Jonas Brothers concert tickets! So my father wanted to see what they said on the site what the benefits were for the girls selling cookies. In the site under the section of the site that said "Benefits for girls" there were some bullet points, and there was a picture of a sailor, so naturally my father was surprised and made a great comment, which was "The benefits for girls are... SAILORS?!" maybe that isn't as funny to all of my readers as it was to me, but I laughed quite a bit about that.

permit, phai thai, and people
Well I haven't blogged in a while, which I know deeply saddens most of you, but I have had some new developments in my life, such as receiving my driver's permit, trying my first dish of Phai thai food, and my first time driving I almost drove into a curb due to being distracted by a lovely daughter of god...
I tried driving with my dad in the Redmond High school parking lot on sunday, and because I know lots of friends who live near there, I called all of their families to tell them to stay away from the parking lot, if they valued their lives. My first thought about driving is that it is difficult, my second thought is that I might shorten my father's life significantly if I practice driving with him too often.

Cobra starship
So I just found out about this great band Cobra Starship, and I guess they have been out for a while, I am just glad I found out about them now, and not any later, since I really enjoy them! I just wondered what other people thought about them, since on facebook I said I was in love with them, and I got mixed responses, some people who said they also liked them, but some people vehemently dislike them, so how do you guys feel about em?

great song, crazy music video
This music video for total eclipse of the heart by Bonnie Tyler is one of the most cracked out music videos I have ever seen, so naturally, I want all of my avid blog readers to watch it as well. I can't take all the credit for this extraordinarily weird video, Hillary told me about it. so here is the magical link.

Belittling friends and acquantinces, when is the right time?
So my friends were over at my house for a game night, and one of them, who will remain nameless, decides it is a good idea to slight my religion and pick up a hymn book we have laying around and say "so Gary which of these is your favorite, do you sing them in the car, do you bring it around?" in a mocking tone of voice. also while I am trying to clean up the guys are saying "so when are we starting, I am getting impatient, mormons are slow, etc"
so what I wanted to ask of the readers of my blog is this- Is it ok to lambaste someone, and their beliefs when that person and their family have offered their house to you for a night, when no other house is available? this might be tolerable once, but it has happened numerous times, and I wondered how to ask them politely to not do that, without them belittling me even more for it.
Any suggestions?

Friday the 13th
So I just wondered what everyone was doing this friday the 13th, because although I don't really believe in the superstitions about how spooky it is, and other such hogwash, someone must buy into that stuff since the remake of the actually good horror movie friday the 13th will be released then.
So the question is "What are you doing for friday the 13th?"
Me personally, I am going to play a survival horror game of Dungeons and Dragons, which should at least prove to be hilarious if not actually scary
